2016 Paper Street Vineyard Grenache Blanc
In the Willow Creek District lies Paper Street Vineyard. This land was used for barley and almonds until the mid-1990’s but was mostly abandoned until the Dusi family planted vines here. The limestone-white hills, hot days, and cool nights make for concentrated, vibrant, and mineral-driven wines.
Whole cluster pressed and cold settled in stainless steel. Fermented and aged in neutral French oak and stainless steel. The wine went through 50% malolactic fermentation and was bottled after 12 months.
Honeycrisp apple, lemon zest, spring flowers, saline, mini kiwi, starfruit, and cavaillon melon. The palate is silky, elevated, and pure, finishing with quince, poached pear, and a chalky minerality. Enjoy with grilled oysters on the half shell, seared scallops with citrus brown butter.
